Anna Miesse – Music for the Heart

I created this as a digital story for English class. I began by writing the script for the story, and then recorded my voice and added images and music. It went through many drafts and response groups before the final draft. I probably spent 15 hours or so on the entire project, including planning, writing the script, finding images, and revising.

This project is a digital story about the path I took to discovering that I wanted to be a writer, and the pain I endured on the journey to get there. I probably put in over 40 hours on this project, give or take. That includes writing and editing the script, shooting and reshooting the individual videos, and finally putting it all together. I used the video camera on my phone, Google docs to write the script, and WeVideo to put it together.

My project is a digital story about my first experience flying alone. I put about 12 hours at least into this project and took a lot of extra footage to try and find the right information to put into my project.

This is a digital story that I created in my college writing class. The assignment was to tell a story through video format, utilizing photos, sound effects, visual metaphors, and other storytelling techniques. I used iMovie and an iPhone to create this video, and it took roughly ten hours of storyboarding, scripting, shooting, and editing.
Kate Gersonde – My Brother's Little Sister

This is a digital story I made on IMovie for my College Writing class. The assignment was to tell a personal story. I told the story about when I decided not to take AP Studio Art and how I came to that decision. I spent many, many hours on this project because it was for a portfolio and I wanted it to look nice.
Sophie Confer – Good Morning Sunrise
Sponsor: Mrs. Beam
The goal of this project was to create a children's book. Using Adobe Illustrator, Google Slides, watercolor, and a black gel pen, I created Good Morning Sunrise. I would say I spent 20 hours on this digital story. This project stemmed from my heart as I felt inspired and incorporated my childhood into this piece. My children's book will be preserved digitally in this Google Slides, much longer than on the paper I started with.

My project is a short film, made after my art teacher told us we could create anything we wanted. A short film was one of the first things that came to my mind, even though I knew it would be difficult because It was something I have never done, I still had a strong vision. I grabbed my cannon camera and began filming something poetic to match my written words, all edited and finalized on Adobe Premiere Pro, a video editing program I had to teach myself to use. Overall, I believe I spent 25+ hours on this project, including all the planning and sketching time in my art course, as well as the filming, any re-filming, and the editing. I used this film as a creative outlet, putting my thoughts behind dark and aesthetic style shots.
