February Newsletters

Dear Parents,

Wow! What an amazing week! The first graders are striving to do their personal best in class each day.

The students were assessed in Reading class.

Please review the math facts with your children. They will have a math assessment tomorrow.

Please have your children read “Little Rabbit” and “Animals Can Go Fast” to prepare for Reading class on Monday.

Please review the Hail Mary and the Glory Be with your children. I will finish up assessing the students next week.

I would like for the students to bring the bag I gave them with 1 item in it. They need to have 3 hints about their item for “Share and Tell” tomorrow.

The students need to bring their favorite Dr. Seuss book on Monday.

The first graders are bringing home their new usernames and passwords for the website vocabularya-z.com today.

Thank you for your help and cooperation.

Have an awesome weekend!

Dear Parents,

We have had a great short week together. The students are performing amazing experiments.

The first graders did a fabulous job making their Valentine boxes!

It is hard to believe we are in the Lenten Season. I would like for each student to bring a journal on Monday. The class will be writing prayers in their journals during Religion class.

I would like for the students to bring 6 or 7 books per week to read during their free time in class.

Please have your children bring a fact about a president for “Share and Tell” tomorrow.

Wow! We are starting a new reading book! Please have your children read “Little Rabbit”, review the questions on page 29 and read “Animals Go Fast”. Thank you for all your help and support.

May you have a wonderful weekend.

Dear Parents,

We have had a great week together.

The students will start next week performing their experiments.

The skills that were reviewed in Reading class were vowels with oo, u, verbs with ed/ing, contractions with not, high-frequency words and comprehension questions. In Really Great Reading class, the skills that were reviewed were open and closed syllable words. The Heart Words were him, into, look, put and has.

The students’ Valentine boxes are due on Tuesday, February 9th.

Please have your children review their high frequency words that are highlighted in yellow this weekend! The first graders will be assessed in Reading class next week.

I will be assessing the students next week on saying The Hail Mary and Glory Be prayers.

The first graders are so excited about going to the Hangar tomorrow!

May you have a wonderful weekend!

Go Chiefs!
