December Newsletters

December 17, 2020

Dear Parents,

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach your children! It is so delightful to come to school each day because of them.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Sue Seipel

I said a Christmas Prayer for you

Because the season's near.

I didn't ask for riches

But for gifts so much more dear.

I asked for joyful gatherings

With your family all round,

And for carols to inspire you

With their old familiar sound.

I asked for quiet moments

In your heart on Christmas morn,

For a special time to celebrate

The Savior who was born.

I asked for friends to send their best

That you might know they care;

I asked for peace and love and hope,

And I know God heard my prayer.

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe Christmas is in 2 weeks away! The first graders are so excited to celebrate with their families.

The skills that were review in Reading class were long a word families, nouns, beginning, middle and end of the stories, high frequency words and comprehension questions.

The students need to bring a medium size Christmas gift bag with tissue paper on Monday.

The students’ Nursery Rhyme Performance Task is due on Monday.

Please have your children bring something related to Christmas for “Share and Tell” tomorrow.

I would like for the students to read “The Big Yuca Plant” and “How Plants Grow” this weekend.

The first graders will not have homework next week. Please have your children read each night and review math facts.

Have a wonderful weekend.

God Bless You,

Sue Seipel
