Dear Parents,

The skills that were reviewed in Reading class were ou, ow, inflectional endings er, est, high-frequency words and comprehension questions.

In Really Great Reading class the skills that were reviewed were vowel phonemes and a cumulative review of closed, open syllables, V-C-e words and vowel team syllables

All pictures of Moms are due tomorrow for the wall in the hall.

Our Mother’s Day Tea is Friday, May 7th at 1:00 in the church.

The students’ state reports are due tomorrow.

Please have your children read “Building Bridges?” and “Small Joy” this weekend.

I would like for the students to bring an item that makes sound for “Share and Tell” tomorrow.

Dear Parents,

The skills that were reviewed in Reading class were r-controlled or, ore, oar words, abbreviations, prefixes re, un, high frequency words and comprehension questions.

The skills that were reviewed in Really Great Reading were the vowel phoneme oo and inflectional endings. The Heart Words were give, our, both, does and write.

Please have your children read “Whistle for Willie and “Shake! Strike! Strum!” this weekend.

Our spring concert is Wednesday, May 5th at 7:00. It will be at the performing arts center at the high school. Please remember to sign up online.

The state reports are due on Friday, April 30th.

Our Mother’s Day Tea is on Friday, May 7th at 1:00-1:30.

Please review identifying a dollar, quarter, dime, nickel and penny. Please review their values with your children. I will be assessing the students. I would like for the students to continue counting money with dimes, nickels and pennies.

I would like for the students to bring for “Share and Tell” 2 facts about the state of Missouri.

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe we are in the middle of 4th quarter.

The skills that were reviewed in Reading class were r-controlled or, ir, ur, er, inflectional ending er, cause/effect, high-frequency words and comprehension questions.

The skills that were reviewed in Really Great Reading class were 3 sounds of suffix-ed and vowel phoneme ou. The Heart Words were goes, always, because, own and only.

I would like the first graders to bring a picture of their mothers for the wall in the hall. They are due On Tuesday, April 20th.

Please have your children read “Thomas Edison, Inventor”, “Windshield Wipers” this weekend.

I would like for the students to bring an item that means a lot to them for “Share and Tell” tomorrow.

State reports are due on Friday, April 30th.

Please have your children read “Kitten’s First Full Moon” and “The Moon” this weekend.

Please continue to have your children counting dimes, nickels and pennies.

Our Mother’s Day Tea will be on Friday, May 7th from 1:00-1:30 in the Church.

Please continue to have your children bring 6 0r 7 books to class.

I would like for the students to bring something they received for Easter “Share and Tell” tomorrow.

Dear Parents,

It is so amazing to see how your children have grown spiritually, academically and socially this year.


The state reports are due Friday, April 30th.


The skills that were reviewed in Reading class were y that sounds like a long e, long ey, compound words, high-frequency words and comprehension questions.


The skills that were reviewed in Really Great Reading class were long i, long o, vowel phoneme oi and vowel teams. The Heart Words were walk, before, again, who and been.


Our Mother’s Day Tea will be on Friday, May 7 at 1:00-1:30. Please put the date on your calendar.


I would like for the students to continue to bring 6 or 7 books to read during their free time in class.


Please continue to check your child’s spelling and math homework on a regular basis. The students will not have spelling homework next week.


I would like for the students to read “A Lost Button” and “Sort It Out” this weekend.
