Given that we all have to spend a majority of our time indoors, nothing beats having something to do to pass the time. Many people around our age group (College kids) will remember a game from back in the early 2000's called Runescape. The game has been through a lot of tribulations and changes, but it still exists and in the form of Old School RuneScape (OSRS) that is based off of the 2007 version of the game, but still receives updates and fixes. The game is Free-to-play for anyone who wishes to make an account, but there is a subscription service for those who wish to unlock more content in the game. Runescape requires a lot of patience and time, and involves a lot of grinding which is what makes it great right now.
The main OSRS website is where you can peruse the news and updates and download the launcher. I would recommend, though, trying out the RuneLite launcher, as it contains open-source plugins that make your time in-game much more productive. The link for RuneLite is listed below.

The game can get confusing at certain points, and there are a large number of quests and activities that might not make sense at first. Luckily the Runescape community is one that is quite resourceful. There is a wiki (Link below) that contains information and guides on just about anything in the game. Want to know how to fight a boss? It's there. Want to find the drop rates of a monster? It's there. Want to know the best methods of earning skill experience? It's all there. The Runescape community is very helpful and laid back, most people are up for quick chat or are willing to partner up to perform group activities. The mods are all awesome and quite often do development streams where they let you see what they are working on. Updates are largely determined by the player base, and mods look to this input whenever they make updates. They literally have polls where they let the players vote on whether an update will happen or not.
I've played this game for many years, and I've seen it go through it's highs and lows, but right now it is doing better than ever. There is consistently over 100,000 online players a day and new updates are done almost weekly. Content is added in fairly often, and there is almost never a time when there's nothing to do. If you used to play, maybe try getting back into the game. If you've never played, give it a try, it might be just what you're looking for. It may suck that we can't go out and do the things we like, but that doesn't mean we can't stay inside and have fun in other ways.
