Stella Maris Pudu is a private school following the KSSM national curriculum. We prepare our students to sit for the SPM public examination at the end of Form 5. The Ministry of Education implemented the School Based Assessment (PBS) system in the year 2012. Currently under this system, students in Form 1 to 3 sit for a Final Test (Ujian Akhir Sesi Akademik) at the end of each academic year.

Stella Maris Pudu is proud of the fact that our students show a high level of proficiency in the English language after a few years in the school. Towards this end, the school has adopted parts of an international syllabus in the teaching of English. Furthermore, Mathematics and Science subjects are taught in English.

The Learning Environment @ Stella Maris Pudu

We prepare our students to build the world of tomorrow. Our students engage in an encouraging and challenging preparatory programme for further and higher education that emphasizes strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, effective oral and written communications, and lifelong enjoyment of intellectual pursuits.

The SPM remains foundational to our students undergoing the national curriculum. Over and above the premise to complete the SPM well, our students are equally challenged to think critically, question various concepts, express their thoughts, and to create and transform their ideas into action. They are also coached to become mature, independent and organized learners.

Our students are exposed to a variety of learning experiences, including classroom learning, experiential/hands-on learning, team collaborations, and opportunities to learn outside the space and environment of the classroom.

Our students begin to spread their wings and discover their interests in an encouraging, cooperative, and caring supportive environment. During their lower secondary years, our students learn to take challenges/risks; they learn responsibility; and they learn to love learning.

In development of student leadership, our students will be expected to assume leadership positions within the student body, acting as mentors for our younger learners.

We also aim to stretch and development our students to their maximum potential to equip them with critical life skills (socio-economic, academic, and behavioral) to succeed in their upper secondary years and beyond.

In providing all our students with the enjoyment of a holistic educational journey with us, classroom learning is enhanced through specialist enrichment sessions, such as music, visual arts, and physical education.

Character development is an integral part of the student's life of Stella Maris Schools, where we aim to instill in each of our students, the key qualities such as determination, teamwork, leadership and compassion.
