Module Seven: Action/Practice in Coaching Interactions
Learning Objectives:
Engage in regular cycles of writing and revisiting SMARTE goals as well as reflecting on and assessing the effectiveness of coaching.
Use the features of the coaching style of interaction to achieve CQI.
Engage in healthy inquiry by articulating what they and their partner are curious about and investigating further with openness to possibilities.
Use effective communications and note-taking strategies during and after coaching conversations in virtual, hybrid, and in-person settings.
Use Colorado’s Competencies for Early Childhood Educators and Professionals as they create goals and action steps, and as they reflect on growth in teaching practice and/or goal completion.
Demonstrate collaborative problem solving to support building awareness of barriers and action steps to meet individual goals.
Consider the inclusion of groups that have been marginalized and underserved, surface unique perspectives, and consistently adjust interactions under their control to improve outcomes for children and families.
