BSO Inspection: What the inspectors said 

Dear Samakee Community,

Following last week's exciting news about our Outstanding BSO accreditation, we wanted to share more details about what the inspectors found during their visit in May.

What the Inspectors Praised

The inspection team evaluated every aspect of our school and highlighted many strengths, including:

Safeguarding and wellbeing: Our commitment to keeping children safe and supporting their emotional and physical wellbeing was recognised as exemplary

Quality of teaching and learning: Inspectors praised the high-quality teaching across all year groups and subjects

Personalised approach: Our commitment to meeting the individual needs of every child and adapting our teaching to help each learner succeed

Strong relationships: The positive, respectful relationships between staff, pupils, and families that create our warm school community

Inclusive and nurturing environment: Our culture of acceptance, respect, and support for every child, regardless of their background or needs

A Parent's Perspective

One of the most meaningful moments of the inspection came during the parent meeting. A parent beautifully captured our school's ethos with these words:

"They nurture our children like little seeds into flowers... and when a red flower blooms, they never label it; they wait to see if it becomes a purple one."

When we heard this, we knew this parent had perfectly described our philosophy. We believe every child has unlimited potential. We don't put children in boxes or limit them with labels. Instead, we create the right conditions for each unique learner to grow, develop, and surprise us with their talents – in their own time and in their own way.

This quote has become central to our vision for this academic year, and you'll hear us refer to it often as we talk about "waiting for the purple flower" and our commitment to nurturing every child.
