Dear year 7 student,
I’m in year nine and there are some subjects that I always get a lower grade on.
Due to my low grades in the report card, I want some tips on how to improve. My last report card was disappointing. My parents are pretty strict and they said that I will only play video games after getting good grades at school.
I feel overwhelmed and don't know what to do. Could you please give me some advice?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Year 9 Student
Dear Y9 student,
You said you are having a very bad problem, that is not being able to get good grades for many reasons. I see you are not being able to get good grades for lots of reasons, like distractions, video games, strict parents and more. You’re facing low grades, and your parents have restricted video games until you improve, leaving you overwhelmed. As a year 7 student, my suggestion is for you to break tasks into smaller steps and focus on problem areas. Ask teachers for help, and reduce distractions like video games. Stay patient—effort will bring improvement.
You could try staying calm and saying to your parents that your grades aren’t that bad. I think your problem is actually caused by all of the pressure you get into, by your parents, by school and others. If you don’t focus, you aren’t able to be better. As I see, you can’t get good grades because of all the problems I told you, but if you manage to stay calm and always think in a good way, this will help you get a good performance. But, by making a lot of effort and strategies, you're able to get better and get good grades. Here’s my advice to you, you should try making and doing all the strategies and things I told you to do, and always try to be calmer. I absolutely expect you to be better at school and get rid of all your problems.
If you focus more, you get better grades. Focus on smaller tasks, minimize distractions, and ask for help from teachers. Patience and effort will lead to better grades and reduce stress. To improve your grades, create a study schedule and break tasks into smaller steps. Limit distractions by designating specific times for video games and seeking help from teachers when needed. Communicate openly with your parents about your challenges. If you try out this advice, you’ll probably start to focus better, feel more confident, and get more support from your parents. This could help you get better grades and feel more positive about school.
Don’t forget this advice, my suggestions should work because they provide structure, reduce distractions, and encourage open communication. If you find that some strategies don’t work, you can always try adjusting your schedule, seeking extra help, or exploring new study techniques. I truly hope this advice helps you, and that it makes a positive difference in your studies. I wish you the best and hope you feel better as you work towards improving your grades.
Sincerely,
