I chose Saint Francis of Assisi as my confirmation saint because I wanted to choose a saint that I have known for a while. Francis is my middle name and my grandmother's name. This name is something that is very close to me and I wanted to keep it close to me. I knew a lot about Saint Francis, but I wanted to learn more so I could tell my grandmother all about it. Saint Francis is known for being able to talk to animals. I have always loved animals and cared for them as he did. I always felt close to Saint Francis because of my love for animals.
