I chose Saint Dominic because he is the patron saint of astronomy and I love just about everything that has to do with outer space. I learned about Saint Dominic and about everything that he did during his life. Dominic de Guzmán was born in Castile, possibly sometime between 1171 and 1172. In 1203, the bishop of Osma, was sent on a royal mission and he took Dominic with him. Dominic and his friends were welcomed by the bishop in 1215. Dominic traveled until he died in Bologna in 1221 at about age 50. Seeing what he was able to accomplish inspires me to work hard to try to accomplish whatever I want.
