I am a people-oriented, professional educator with thirty years of experience who excels at coaching teachers and administrators to use best practices while integrating technology into their teaching and learning. I act as a role model who engages teachers and students in rigorous and relevant learning requiring them to think critically in authentic, real-world environments that reach beyond the classroom. I am a change agent and life-long learner who collaborates with all stakeholders to build a learning organization that breeds peer learning, teaching, and self-reflective practices. I am currently employed with Lewisville ISD in Lewisville, Texas, as an Instructional Technology Specialist in Digital Learning. I have a wide range of experiences and skills:
Managed the Canvas LMS for the district
Coached secondary teachers in best practices for technology integration
Developed and taught a variety of technology workshops at the campus and district level
Collaborated with Learning and Teaching staff to design sustainable, engaging staff development sessions
Aided in district-wide implementation of the Canvas LMS
Conceived, developed, and facilitated a district Film Festival and Red Carpet Event as Committee Chair
Designed, facilitated, and led teacher and student instruction that drove the LISD ePortfolio Initiative on middle school and high school campuses
Helped develop Teacher Technology Standards aligned with SBEC Technology Standards for Beginning Teachers
Worked as a project manager for various summer initiatives such as the Technology Teacher Academy and 21st Century Toolkit
Created and maintained various web pages for the Digital Learning Department
Created a variety of graphics for communication through Twitter, email, newsletters, and web sites.
Worked with Library Media Specialists to develop curriculum for Digital Citizenship
Collaborated with teachers to mine and analyze data to inform instruction
Created and nurtured a variety of campus PLC’s
