Here you can modify your existing collections using the Floors, Ranges, and Data tabs.
Here is an example of a floor plan with no ranges on it. This floorplan is where we will add the ranges.
Here is an example of a single-sided range rotated 45°. When a range is selected, it will be highlighted red as can be seen here.
Here are three examples of range groups. On the left we have a double-sided range group with two ranges rotated 135°. In the middle we have a single-sided range group with eight ranges rotated 90°. On the right we have a double-sided range group with eight total ranges rotated 270°.
Group numbers can be viewed in the CSV spreadsheet with your call number data as well as in the Ranges tab where you can assign ranges specific group numbers.
Here we can see the assigned range names in the CSV spreadsheet. This is completely customizable based on your data. The range name can also be viewed in the map that patrons will see when they map an item in your catalog.
Here is an example of a call number spreadsheet used by StackMap. In this spreadsheet is the data used by StackMap to map out your collections.
Here are three catalog examples of what locations can look like. They can range from a status name to a specific collection name. Location points are not to be confused with ILS-based collection codes. If in doubt, please consult a member of the StackMap team.
