What a fantastic day of sport, effort, and school spirit! Our team showed brilliant determination and teamwork throughout a very busy schedule of matches. A huge well done to Amy, Spencer, Alana, Noah, Henry, Darcy, and Sassy for representing St. Stephen’s so positively.
The team opened the day with a high-energy 5–5 draw against St Mary’s. It was a fast-paced game with impressive attacking play from the first whistle.
The momentum stayed with us as we secured two excellent wins:
2–0 victory against St Osmonds: Noted for brilliant defending and clinical finishing.
6–1 win over Buckingham: A masterclass in passing and movement across the pitch.
The second group stage proved more challenging, but this is where the team’s character really shone. Despite some tough scores against strong opposition, the players never gave up, kept encouraging one another, and stayed positive.
Heathfield: Lost 8–2
St James: Lost 8–1
Newland House: Lost 7–0
Radnor: A hard-fought 3–3 Draw
After the group stages, the team rallied for their final matches, producing some of their best netball of the day:
Won 4–0 vs Trafalgar
Won 6–0 vs St Mary Magdalen’s
Won 7–3 vs Sacred Heart
Lost 3–1 to Old Vicarage (a very close contest!)
Player Highlights

On Tuesday, our tag rugby team was invited to a T1 round robin tournament. This event provided an excellent introduction to T1 rugby, which introduces a new set of rules and is widely regarded as the important final step before children move into contact rugby.
The team had a very successful and exciting day, with the final standings coming right down to the very last match. With two strong wins and one narrow loss, the tournament was decided in a final game that, unfortunately, didn’t go our way.
However, the scores only tell half the story. The team did exceptionally well working together and developing their skills in a completely new environment. They adapted to the new rules with great focus and sportsmanship.
A massive well done to the whole squad: Alana, Niamh, Jessie, Nate, Jake, Ato, Ben G, Tobin, and Henry I.
