Google Classroom
Introduction
Google Classroom is a Google App that was developed by Google for schools. It is accessible to all SSFS students and teachers. The virtual classroom simplifies the creation, distribution, and grading of assignments and material in a paperless and streamlined way. It offers discussion “boards,” integrates with all G-suite tools and Drive as well as many additional apps and extensions that you may be using for digital content. Features and highlights include:
Distribute & collect “handouts” for collaboration (editable), for individuals (make a copy) view only & can be differentiated by sharing with specific students.
Multiple teachers for collaboration.
Integrates with BrainPop, FlipGrid, Khan Academy, NearPod, Newsela, Epic, so that you can share and post assignments to classroom.
If you're already using Google Drive to share documents and folders with your students, Google Classroom is an easier method, and adds to productivity in that you have a built in copier, collector, and the ability to differentiate.
