Zoom for Synchronous Classes

Introduction

Zoom is a communications tool that will allow us to hold classes online. It provides the video capacity of a Skype or Google Meet with the added benefit of chat box and recording features. This allows us to hold interactive classes online in real time as well as record these sessions with our students to they can access them later.

To get started, make sure that you've downloaded zoom.

All Zoom Settings

See this file for settings that can be helpful. For example, "Allow removed participants to rejoin" in case you give a student a "virtual time-out," this would allow them to rejoin a synchronous session.
