Early Childhood Family Education

The purpose of ECFE programs is to provide parenting education and support young children's learning and development. It is our goal to provide the necessary supports and resources for you and your child to thrive and be successful! 

The central goal of the ECFE classes is to enhance and support the competence of parents in providing the best possible environment for the healthy growth of their children.

In order to realize this goal, we in Stewartville attempt to:

• Support parents in their efforts in raising healthy, happy children

• Recognize a variety of parenting approaches and encourage parents to use the best approach which suites their family

• Help to create effective communication between parents and their children

• Promote positive, healthy relationships among parents and children

• Provide information on resources available in the community

Stewartville's ECFE program is a parent and child program - a place for parents and their children from infancy to kindergarten enrollment. Our classes are built on the belief that parents are their children's first and most important teachers. The focus of the program is to support and strengthen families in raising their children.
