Missing Devices Flowchart Process
Device is reported/assumed missing or lost.
Staff member communicates with Facilitator.
AT Facilitator submits JIRA ticket and submits emails to Nikki Brentlinger and Mark Howell.
INFORMATION TO INCLUDE IN JIRA TICKET AND EMAIL COMMUNICATION:
-District/building
-Name of student, staff member, and onsite area coordinator
-Device model, serial number, SSD and IRC asset tag
-Missing accessories
-Line by line cost of all missing/stolen items
-Location/date where device was last seen
-Request to ping location/lock device and send message
Technology will monitor device for activity
Is the device recovered?
5 a -Device IS recovered - JIRA ticket is closed, process is completed, no further steps required
5 b -Device IS NOT recovered- Continue the missing device flowchart process (Step 6)
IRC- device is marked as lost/missing in the Alexandria system by IRC staff
Do we know the device was stolen?
7 a - NO - Continue the missing device flowchart process (Step 8)
7 b - YES - Please see and follow the Stolen Device process
IRC fills out Fixed Asset Transaction Form and has Nikki Brentlinger sign. IRC sends copy to Fixed Asset Analyst and attaches to JIRA ticket. JIRA ticket is closed.
Assistive Technology decides to issue new device based on individual need, inventory, or past history
Continuing from Step 7 b of the Missing Device Process
8.Technology makes fexcommendation for Staff Memmber, on-site Area Coordinator or Family to file Police report and send to on-site Area Coordinator, A Facilitator, Nikki Brentlinger, and Mark Howell.
9. Where was the device stolen?
9 a - Stolen in the Community- File report with local Police where device was stolen from
9 b - Stolen at Home - File report with Home owners or renters insurance
9 c - Stolen at School - File report with School Resource Officer
10. Once Report is recieved and attach to the JIRA ticket
11. IRC fills out Fixed Asset Transaction Form and has Nikki Brentlinger sign. IRC sends copy to Fixed Asset Analyst and attaches to JIRA ticket. JIRA ticket is closed.
