All students who currently use Co:Writer and Snap&Read on Chromebooks will need to transition to using Read&Write at the start of the 25-26 school year. By December 2025 all students using the Snap&Read and Co:Writer iOS apps will need to use the Read&Write iOS app. Read&Write has incorporated the features of Co:Writer and Snap&Read into its existing toolbar.

Students who were previous Co:Writer and Snap&Read users have been added to the new Read&Write license through their school Gmail accounts. If you have students who already receive SSD services move to a new partner district, students who have never used Co:Writer and Snap&Read, or new students who have recently qualified for SSD services, please contact your assigned Assistive Technology Facilitator to add them to the license.

Updated information re: Documenting AT in the IEP
Please assign your Aug. Comm. Facilitator and/or Computer Access Facilitator by name as a Provider under Supports for School Personnel.

Items may be viewed here online prior to coming to Central Office. Enter at the lower level Welcome Center and bring your SSD badge to expedite your visit.

Please email your AT facilitator prior to your visit to ensure that your student-assigned AT academic devices are ready for checkout and/or with questions. District facilitator assignments have been updated to better serve you and your students.
To help us process your requests in a timely manner, please coordinate with the SSD staff within your building to bring a list of students, the AT equipment needed for each, and his/her assigned case manager.
