Don't forget to spend some time at the beginning of the day in God's Word! To help with this, here is our Bible verse of the week:
"The one who has spoken these things says: "I am coming soon!" So, Lord Jesus, please come soon!"
Revelation 22:20
Almost there Year 2! The weekend is in sight! Keep it up! ๐
Go to Seesaw and move your star โญ๏ธ for morning roll call.
Remember to upload one piece of work to Seesaw.
Watch and listen to Mr Charleston as he reads the next chapter from 'The Ology' book, and reveals the next important truth we should know about: THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN
If you want to do some more reading, here are some Bible verses that highlight this great truth even more:
Genesis 3:14-15
Psalm 32:1-6
Galatians 6:8
Print this sheet, find it in your booklet or use your own paper for writing phonograms, spelling words and sentences.
Follow Mr Charleston and practice your sounds for Week 3.
Write your 10 phonograms on the Sounds and Spelling sheet of paper in your work booklets. Use a lead pencil before checking them at the end with a coloured pencil.
The mystery word will be revealed today - did you solve it???
This week you will be reading your Home Readers.

1, 2, 3, 4, are my feet flat on the floor?
5, 6, 7, 8 is my back up nice and straight?
9, 10, 11, 12 is my pencil correctly held?
Use this worksheet to help you practise the letter 'S/s' - complete it using your best handwriting.
Similes and Metaphors are WONDERFUL words we can use in our writing when we are comparing something to something else - they paint a wonderful picture in our minds!
A simile uses "like" or "as" - e.g. "You swim like a fish!" or "That room is as smelly as a rubbish tip!"
A metaphor compares something directly to something else, with no special words needed - e.g. "Her cheeks were on fire." or "He had a heart of stone."
Have you heard a simile or a metaphor before in your life? How many can you come up with now?
Listen to this song 'Similes and Metaphors', written by the Bazillions.
What are the similes used in the song? Can you list them all?
What are the metaphors in the song? Can you list them all?
Have a look through this PowerPoint - it will give you some sentence starters for writing metaphors and similes.
How many can you complete? Be as creative as you can!
