Hello wonderful Year 2! Welcome to your Learning @ Home page for this Monday!
All the activities we would like you to complete today are below. Try and finish them all - we want to be getting our brains ready to come back to school soon!
Don't forget to spend some time at the beginning of the day in God's Word! To help with this, here is our Bible verse of the week:
"If you honestly say, "Jesus is Lord," and if you believe with all your heart that God raised Him from death, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9
We are praying for you all! Let's go Year 2 - WE CAN DO THIS!!!
Go to Seesaw and move your star βοΈ for morning roll call.
In Romans 3:10-12 we read:
"No one is acceptable to God! Not one of them understands or even searches for God. They have all turned away and are worthless. There isn't one person who does right."
In fact, the Bible talks about us like...SHEEP! Silly sheep who wander off and get lost. But the good news of the gospel is that God didn't leave us alone - he went to find us, like a shepherd going after a lost sheep.
Watch the video and listen to the story Jesus told: The Parable of the Lost Sheep.
Extension: How are we like the sheep? How is Jesus like the shepherd?
Watch this video as Mr Charleston shows and explains the phonics cards for the week - he will explain both the sounds and cues that go with each card that will appear in this week's phonics lessons.
Print this sheet, find it in your booklet or use your own paper for writing phonograms, spelling words and sentences.
Follow Mr Charleston and practice your sounds for Week 2.
Write your 10 phonograms. Use a lead pencil before checking them at the end with a coloured pencil.
