Jazz Band

Jazz Band  is open to 7th and 8th grade students who pass a successful audition.  Jazz Band students perform many concerts during the school year, playing music at an advanced level.  

Traditional jazz band instruments include  saxophone (alto, tenor, baritone), trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, drum set, bass and vibraphone.  Occasionally, additional instruments are allowed to play depending on the instrumentation needs of the ensemble.

Jazz Band is a Zero Period Class that meets in the morning at 7:30 a.m. BEFORE the start of the school day.  All students participating in our jazz classes must also be enrolled in another band or orchestra class during the day.
