Mid-year Transcripts

Mid-year transcripts are the transcripts that include the first semester grades of your Senior Year.
Mid-year transcripts are not available to be sent until late January.
We recommend making this request for all schools other than UC/CSU that you have already applied to.

Please note: We know some colleges will list the mid-year transcripts as "missing" even before they can be sent but they know that nearly all high schools cannot send mid-year transcripts until the end of January or even early February. The "missing" indicator is just to let you know they have not arrived yet. You are not penalized.

Steps:

In your Naviance account:

  1. Colleges --> Apply to College --> Manage Transcripts

  2. Click the Pink Plus Sign (in the right corner) --> Other Transcript

  3. “What type of transcript are you requesting” select the box for “Mid-year” (It will automatically select initial as well)

  4. "What is this transcript for” select “Other”

  5. Indicate the date on which the transcript is due (if known) otherwise enter Feb 15

  6. In the recipient box type "Mid-year" and the name of the College (i.e. Mid-year Baylor)

    • If this is a Common App school or another electronic submission school you DO NOT need to include an address

  7. “Request and Finish”

You can check the status of any transcript request in "Manage Transcripts".

When transcripts are made available from the registrar, your counselor will send the midyear transcript based on the requests you entered into Naviance. We usually send them by the last week of January. In February you can check on Naviance by going to “view detailed status” under “colleges I’m applying to” to see when materials were sent.

Please allow an additional 3-4 weeks for the colleges to process your application materials.
After everything has been sent in, you can check with the college to see if your file is complete. Many colleges have an online system allowing you to check the status of your application.
