Your 2023
Senior Survival Guide

Dear Class of 2023,

Welcome to your last year of high school! We know this is a very exciting and busy time for you, so we have compiled a guide to help as you navigate your senior year and the college application process.

Step one is to complete the Senior Post-Grad Plan Survey! We would like every single senior to respond so we can be sure to get you the information you need as the year goes on.

We would be remiss to not mention the fact that your high school career has been less than perfect. COVID has changed so much about how we are used to doing things, and the college application process will undoubtedly be impacted as well. We have been pleased with the response from colleges during the application process, but we know there are many times we may have to adjust due to the pandemic. We are here for you, learning as we go. The counseling department is just as committed as ever to helping you to successfully complete this process. We will not have all the answers, but we will help you find them!

Please read this guide carefully and get a head start on your senior year! While this guide largely focuses on the 4-year college track, we are here to support every post-secondary option.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: The college application process often makes students feel they are reduced to the sum their GPA and test scores –you ARE NOT! You have done enough. You ARE enough. No matter what admissions decisions are sent out in the Spring, please remember that you just being you, is ENOUGH. Please check in with your counselor if you start to feel undue stress about your future plans. There are a million roads to success and we are here to help you navigate them and find the right one for you.

We wish each and every one of you a happy and successful school year. Best of luck!
