Grades Used in Calculating Admission Eligibility

Grades earned in the 10th and 11th grades in the courses listed above are used to calculate eligibility. Courses taken in the summer following the 9th grade and taken in the summer following 11th grade will also be used. College courses will no longer be put on the transcript so you will need to report them on your application. The colleges will recalculate your GPA including the college courses. If you had D’s or F’s in any of your required high school courses, you will report these grades for UC but not CSU. You will put down the repeated course grade. You will need to recalculate your GPA with the eliminated and repeated courses.

Honors/Advanced Placement Courses Earning Weighted Grades

Any Honors or AP courses or college courses (which are college transferable for advanced standing credit) will be given a “weighted” grade. Only 4 units (1 unit = a year course) will be given weighted status by the university of which only 2 units can be from the 10th grade.
