This study investigated the relationship between the students' Science performance and their preference freedom in choosing Senior High School strand. A total of one hundred twenty-one (121) grade 10 junior high school students officially enrolled in the school year 2022-2023 were the participants of the study. Descriptive correlational design was employed. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Correlation were the statistical tools used to describe, analyze, and interpret the collected data. It was found that the junior high school students' level of their academic performance in Science subject together with their final grades, calculated, has been derived and can be interpreted as Very Satisfactory. The study revealed that there was no significant relationship between the students' Science performance and their preference freedom in choosing Senior High School strand. Based on the findings, there was a need to develop opportunity to do self-evaluation and career exploration, as well as strong career counseling program that involves school staff, parents or guardians, and student to lessen the negative effects of peer pressure in the classroom. Teachers and parents should be open to preventative measures.
