The Zones of Regulation®: This is a visual of an 8 on its side. This can be drawn on a board and students can air trace from their seats. Start at the center of the 8 and trace upwards along the curve and breathe in. As you trace along the curve going down, breathe out. At the center breathe in again as you trace along the other upward curve and exhale as you follow the curve down. Repeat 3-5 times.

Relaxed Breathing

When the fish rises up, breathe in and allow your belly to fill up with air. As the fish comes back down, breathe out slowly and let the air out. Repeat for 2 minutes for a "mini" relaxation exercise.
