1-Rope Bridge

Stimulating crossing a river, the team must work together to create, cross, and take down the rope bridge. Creating the rope bridge is a complicated task but this tutorial video below breaks it down: Rope Bridge Tutorial

3km Run

This 1.8 mile run is rigorous with cadets having to run an all out 3km. At the .9 mile point, the whole Raiders Team must cross the line, and again on the finish line. Best time wins!

The Gaunlet

The Gauntlet is the most complicated event of the 6 with obstacles designed to test endurance, speed, balance, strength, coordination, and teamwork. Cadets have to carry rucksacks containing "sensitive equipment" (points will be deducted for throwing around rucksacks and not handling them with proper care) through an extensive course. From getting down and dirty crawling through a narrow place, to climbing up and down a net, to balancing on a log, the team determination is what counts. The inability to move on from obstacle to obstacle without everyone in your team makes teamwork vital in completing this timed course.

First Aid/ Litter Carry

This is a two-part event. In the first part, cadets will treat a "causality" as shown in the picture. They will be given instructions and must go step by step in treating the causality. They will be scored on the accuracy of the treatment of the causality. In the second part, cadets will have to carry a weighted litter through hills and have to navigate and bring the litter carefully over and through a small opening. In this timed event, teamwork and perseverance are essential.

Land Nav

Spilt up into groups, cadets are given the direction and distance of a point and have to rely on a compass, pace taker, and each other to accurately find 4 points in this event. They are scored based on accuracy though there is an over-time deduction.
