Baseball Canada Update: Baseball Canada Lab Challenge

Baseball Canada has created a physical fitness-focused team challenge for the 16U, 14U, 12U, and 10U age groups. Teams of 7 athletes and 1 coach can take part in physical challenges and testing while competing against other baseball players from across the country weekly, for two months.

Each week, coaches will meet with Baseball Canada representatives to discuss the "test" for that week. Coaches will then work with their players to explain the activity for that week. Players are then responsible for recording and completing the test to submit to Baseball Canada.

Players get to compete with all other participants in their age bracket and gender. Baseball Canada will post a leaderboard each week with the top performer for each test, top team average performance, top individual improvement, top individual performer for combined tests, top team average for combined tests, and the top individual improvement for combined tests.

This is a really cool opportunity for our 10U-16U players. This program provides them with chances to be active and compete against kids from across Canada, all while maintaining social distancing guidelines and requiring minimal equipment. There's no need to meet up as everything can be organized digitally. This is a time-sensitive opportunity too. Registration is open until May 18 at lab.baseball.ca!
