We hope it will be possible soon to have up and running our

Sacristans
Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick,
Children’s Liturgy,
First Communion
Confirmation groups
Bereavement Group

Of course this depends on the Covid situation and our continuing alertness to that.

Also all our Clergy were reminded by Bishop Richard at an all-day conference last week that these roles require a full Safeguarding certificate (DB – Disclosure and Barring) with some training (which can be online).

I know this adds another task for those prepared to volunteer, but our Safeguarding Reps and the Diocesan office in Hove do help with that. It is just the case that we cannot start those groups without volunteers who have those essential elements.
