The Nordic Guide and Scout Conference is a meeting place for the exchange of experience and networking between leaders in the Nordic Guide and Scout Associations. The conference is held every three years.

All Nordic Guide and Scout associations contribute programs to the conference.

During the conference, a presidium meeting will be held which will make the formal decisions for the collaboration and activities for the next three years. Documents from previous conferences can be read at speidereinorden.org

Nordisk speiderkonferanse skal være en møteplass for erfaringsutveksling og nettverksbygging mellom ledere i nordiske speiderforbund. Konferansen arrangeres hvert tredje år.

Alle nordiske speiderforbund bidrar med program til konferansen.

Under konferansen avholdes et presidiemøte som tar de formelle beslutningene for samarbeidet og aktiviteter for de neste tre årene.

Nordic Guide and Scout co-operation is coordinated by the Nordic Guide and Scout Committee, which consists of two members per country. Cooperation is summarized as follows in our mission and vision.

Mission

The aim of the community among Nordic Guides and Scouts is to facilitate cooperation, exchanges of experiences and awareness of Nordic cultures.

Vision

Guide/Scout meets Scout/Guide (Spejder möter scout)

- Means that Guides/Scouts meet Scouts/Guides form other Nordic countries through the Nordic cooperation. The individual Guide/Scout should, through the meeting, the increase their respect and understanding of other cultures and their interest in international relations.

Association meets association (Forbund möter korps)

- Means exchange of experiences between associations in the Nordic countries in areas where it is relevant to discuss questions of common interest.

Scout/Guide meets society (Skátun möter samfunn)

- Means that The Guide and Scout movement in the Nordic countries has a strong position in the arena for youth politics on Nordic, European and Global level and is a reliable partner to authorities and other organisations, since The Guide and Scout movement is a youth movement where young people are able to express what they want and need

- betyder att scouter gennem det nordiska scoutsamarbetet møter scouter fra andre nordiske lande. Mødet mellem scouter stärker den enskilde scoutens respekt och förståelse andra kulturer samt engagement för internationella frågor.

Forbund möter korps

- betyder ett aktivt erfarenhetsutbyte mellan förbunden i de nordiska länderna där det är naturligt att frågor med fælles interesse diskuteras.

Skátun möter samfunn

- betyder att scoutrörelsen i Norden är stark på den nordiska, europeiska och globala ungdomspolitiska arenan och en trovärdig partner till myndigheter och organisationer, eftersom den är en ungdomsrörelse där unga kan uttrycka vad de vill och behöver.
