Expectations
Monitoring student behavior
Response to student behavior
I have a Google Slideshow posted within my Canvas classes of the classroom expectations that we follow within my room and we go over these things as a class on the first day of each new rotation. This give students a clear idea of what's to be expected for behavior and how my class operates. I also have a different approach for dealing with my behavior within my room. I prefer to talk with the student or students who are having issues privately after class to see what the seed of the problem is and we discuss how we are going to solve this issue together. I inform my students that if they hold up their end of the bargain, I will hold up mine and change what I can to help them be successful within my room. I prefer not to call anyone out and make a scene within the middle of a class. If the issue is severe, I will get a member of admin or guidance counselor involved at some point depending on the scenario. Below is the slideshow of expectations that I go over the very first day of each rotation in each class.
