In designing, you have to be mindful that you are creating things for The Mover. Thus, this means placing the club's logo in official publishing materials and layout designs. It also means utilizing the club's colors where appropriate.
Our recent logo was revised by Staff 2021-2022. It can be found in this folder.
A logo is meant to be a good representation of what an organization is for and the values it stands for. As we're a school publication with the focus of being the platform for the student voice, we thought it pertinent that our logo emphasized that. This is emphasized with the use of a paintbrush and a fountain pen in the open pages of a book: we're a home for writers and artists.
Here, you can find two variations of the logo. One with The Mover written in the font "Hammersmith One" and one without.
Which one a designer chooses is up to their discretion. However, it's recommended that the logo without the text is used in pubmats where the logo is too small to be read, or when it's placed beside the words "The Mover". It may also be used on materials that are published in a Mover-affiliated site, like our Instagram or Facebook pages.
Above, you can find the hex codes of our official colors on both a black and white background. Taken from the old Mover logo, these are meant to be a more playful, youthful riff on the school colors.
