Art Lessons Kindergarten

Hi there students, Mrs. Mews here with your Weekly Art Workshop. We are going to try our best to continue to learn and discover new Artists and Art Techniques through an online learning experience. Each video or assignment shared with you is a chance for you to express your creativity and exercise critical thinking skills as you problem solve to achieve a stellar at home masterpiece. If you do not have all the Art Mediums/Materials listed in each video to complete your at home Artwork please substitute with Art Materials that you do have access to...such as markers can be used instead of paints and crayons may be used in place of oil pastels. I will also include some substitute material suggestions as needed with each assignment. If you have questions at any time during your creative process please send an email to Mrs. Mews at the following address: jmews@soswolverines.org. You may also take photos of finished pieces, upload your images to your Google Drive or email and share them with me so I can check your progress and evaluate your creative techniques while offering feedback to each submitted assignment. - You may substitute oil pastel for crayon and still use watercolors to add color, or you may outline all birds with black Sharpie and fill in using brightly colored markers.

Assignment 2: Drawing Protraits Like Picasso

Please watch the youtube video pasted below by clicking the link or copy and pasting the web address into your browser and try your best to create an ABSTRACT Protrait in the style of famous Artist Pablo Picasso.

- Please follow only the portions of the video that apply to you and your current at home Art Studio.
- I would suggest drawing your Picasso Portrait first using a pencil, then trace over the pencil lines with a Sharpie Marker. Earase any and all pencil lines you may have missed while tracing...then begin to add color. You may substitute colored pencils for crayons.

Tigers Like Dean Russo

- Please follow only the portions of the video that apply to you and your current at home Art Studio.
- You may substitute paint markers for Sharpie, chalks for crayons, and add your patterns with markers instead of using oil pastels. If you simply want to draw your tiger and patterns using marker and color it in using crayon that is exceptable as well.
- ***Pro Tip...try drawing your tiger with pencil first then trace over your pencil lines using black paint marker or Sharpie.

You Be You Fish Like Linda Kranz

Please watch the youtube video pasted below by clicking the link or copy and pasting the web address into your browser and try your best to create a Pattern Filled Fish in the style of famous Artist & Author Linda Kranz.

- Please follow only the portions of the video that apply to you and your current at home Art Studio.
- You may start with BLANK Colored or White paper.
- Trace or Draw a CIRCLE.
- Use a pencil to draw the images inside your fish...then trace your pencil with Sharpie.
- Add color using oil pastels or crayons. Once you have all areas filled with color trace over your black lines again using a black pastel or crayon.
- If you are looking for more Fish Examples check out the images below...DO COPY just use these images as inspiration for your own art!
