Short-term Volunteer

Could you be a short term volunteer? The School of Promise is always in need of volunteers to help us!

If you have specific giftings or thoughts on how you can help us, please let us know.

Last year we had many wonderful volunteers help us with many projects, including our summer school program, working with students, building a playground, laying grass (sod), overhauling our library as well as graphic designers and teacher assistants ministering through their gifts.

Work with students

We can use volunteer assistance in several areas working directly with students, including working with small groups or individuals as they learn their English letters and numbers, reading to students, and leading games and special activities. We can assign tasks to suit individual gifts and interests. All volunteers who work directly with students are subject to our child protection policy.

Build/Renovate

As a new school renting a preexisting facility, we are continuously repairing, renovating, and constructing improvements. We are excited to begin work on renovating existing classrooms and building several new rooms in order to add grades 7, 8, and 9. This will allow us to continue working with our current grade 6 students, who will graduate soon. We are also hoping to add preschool classes, as several families in the neighborhood have expressed a desire to send their Pre-K children to our school.
