Who has to take these tests?
Not all SNC students need to take these tests... Here are several reasons you may be required to:
You have not met your Content Competency through your grades and GPA - must demonstrate competency in order to student teach- so test needs to be taken/passed prior to student teaching if your GPA/grades is below the Arch requirement
You are in a major that requires you to take one of these tests to demonstrate broad content knowledge. These include only the majors below. - You must take/pass in order to get licensed in Science or Social Studies teaching - so you must take it/pass it prior to applying for licensure.
Biology,
Chemistry (general chemistry concentration),
Physics
Economics,
History,
Political science,
Psychology, or
Sociology
You have been asked to as part of a remediation plan.
