Lee Gosling MBA, our principal consultant, has set up and run charities and social enterprises, raised many million pounds worth of funding for various organisations and is an expert on business strategy and government commissioning.
He is a leadership specialist who has trained staff, managers and boards to excel in settings ranging from small charities to 'blue-chip' corporations:
'I have operated at Executive level in statutory partnerships and have designed and delivered management and personal development training programmes at all levels and across all sectors.
Just a few of the organisations I have helped:
KPMG
GEC
the Japan Railways Group
The LSC
In 2008, I spent 6 months as 'consultant in residence' for Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO), providing a range of senior level training courses in strategic management, governance, new developments in the statutory commissioning agenda and successful tendering.
I also was contracted to support the LSC in its transition to the Skills Funding Agency, using social media to inform organisations of changes and developments. I organised a number of conferences with the TSNLA, SFA & YPNLA and produced regular bulletins and podcasts.
I am currently an Associate Trainer and Consultant for the Directory of Social Change, with topics including fundraising, strategy, finance, projects, partnerships and commissioning, and health and safety management.
I have also advised and supported organisations through merger and due diligence processes.
As a practising manager and Chief Executive, I have managed a number of high-profile crime and drug reduction programmes for the Youth Justice Board and the Home Office gaining very positive national media attention due to their effectiveness, including significant features in the Guardian, Independent and on Newsnight. In 2004 I was invited to a closed meeting with members of government to advise them on approaches to youth crime and disaffection.
I recently set up a Social Enterprise for homeless people in East Lancashire, and have previously set up outdoor education centres for disaffected young people in a number of inner-city areas'.
