Request technology and digital pedagogy support for fall courses by the August 1, 2026, deadline for priority consideration; requests after the August 1 deadline may receive limited support based on availability. Submit a ticket on the Request Help page for assistance with any of the following:
Course equipment loans and available software
Any special technology needed for your classrooms
A course-related Slack workspace
A digital pedagogy consultation for courses and course projects
iPads for students to use as part of course projects
Course Reserves: Submit requests for Library Reserves early for fall courses to ensure that course materials can be provided on time and in an accessible format.
Learning, Research & Technology staff are available to consult about fall classes.
Consult with our team of instructional technologists, educational media producers, and subject librarians to develop digital scholarship projects, get support for academic technology tools like Moodle, and connect with library resources. Submit a ticket on the Request Help page.
Fall 2026 courses will be available in Moodle on June 15.

Over the summer, ITS will upgrade AV equipment in Seelye 106 and 301, Schacht 218, Sabin-Reed 419, McConnell 406, and the Berenson studios in Mendenhall.

All Smith community members now have access to the Premium version of Adobe Express, an all-in-one content creation app designed for the quick and easy design of social media posts, videos, images, PDFs, flyers, and more. Learn more about Adobe Express.

Adobe for Faulty & Staff: Smith employees have access to Adobe Express and Adobe Acrobat Pro. The full Adobe Creative Cloud suite is available only by request.
Gradescope is a grading platform that helps instructors streamline and standardize the assessment of various assignments.
Google Workspace is a collection of tools to help with teaching and learning. It includes a variety of apps, such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Google Forms, and Google Drive.
Moodle is the college’s learning management system (LMS) used for creating an online home for your courses. Share course materials such as your syllabus, course readings, and links to video ereserves. Create activities for online discussions, collecting homework, and quizzes or exams.
Panopto is Smith’s streaming media service used to host and share pre-recorded lessons, recorded Zoom meetings, and other audio or video files.
Perusall is an e-reader platform that allows students and faculty to annotate assigned readings. It is available for instructor use within Moodle.
Poll Everywhere is a web-based audience responses system that allows you to capture instant feedback in a variety of forms. It can be used in remote classes, virtual meetings, events, and more.
Slack is a messaging and collaboration platform where classes and other groups can connect with each other and share information and resources.
The Smith Campus GenAI platform provides access to major generative AI models, including OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Meta (Llama), Mistral, and can be used as a prototyping platform for AI agents or assistants.
WordPress is a website development platform used for creating course blogs, digital exhibits, and websites for digital scholarship projects.
Zoom is a collaboration tool for users to connect through video, audio, chat, virtual whiteboards, and screen sharing.

Learning, Research & Technology (LRT) is an interdisciplinary team of subject librarians, media producers, and technologists. They partner with faculty, staff, and students to foster a dynamic teaching and learning environment and the creation and sharing of new knowledge.
