The Zoom web portal at smith.zoom.us has a new look. The update includes changes to the home page and navigation menus. To access your meetings, use the six-dot waffle menu in the upper-right corner of the screen and select the corresponding icon. All settings, including those for meetings and Zoom Phone, are now found by selecting your profile icon and then My Account. Check out the help article Introducing the new Zoom Web experience for an overview of the changes.
Our recent campus-wide Duo security updates are officially complete. With the changes to available approval options, this is a great opportunity to review your Duo devices; we strongly recommend having more than one device set up to avoid account disruptions.
If you typically log in using a method tied to your computer, like Touch ID or passkeys, the Duo Mobile app is a great backup - you can log into your account on any device as long as you have your phone nearby.
If you primarily use the Duo Mobile app to approve logins, having another method available ensures you can log in to your account when you are away from your phone or get a new one.
See Duo Devices to learn more about device options, including the Duo Mobile app (recommended), and for instructions on managing devices in your account.
All of the information from the Generative AI at Smith site has been moved to the ITS website. You can now find all of our AI resources, guidance, and tools in one place. Explore AI Tools for Smith-licensed app options, AI Training for online opportunities and Smith ITS workshops, and Data Security for privacy guidelines and compliance guardrails. The Gemini and NotebookLM pages have also been refreshed with additional instructions and information.
Get started at the AI at Smith landing page, your hub for all things AI.
Adobe is offering workshops and training opportunities for the Smith community. For more information and to register, visit the Adobe Express page. (Reminder: All Smith employees and students have full access to Adobe Express Premium, a cloud-based visual content creation and design tool. Creative Cloud is available only upon request. For more information, visit the Adobe Licensing page.)
Remain vigilant about Cybersecurity! Bad actors send malicious links to try to gain access to your accounts, or use tactics like fake party invitations to trick you into downloading malware. If an email message is suspicious, don't click, and never approve a Duo request you didn't initiate. If you receive a Duo request you did not initiate, deny it and follow our instructions under Fraud Prevention with Duo.
Quickly connect to frequently used applications. Access is provided through your Smith account. See Quick Links for a full list.
