The New Teacher Induction program is designed to support our new educators in their first three years.
Your success is important to us! Working with our students and staff, you will make a positive impact, and we are so excited to see the difference you will make. We know that in your first years with SMCPS, there will be a lot to learn, and the Teacher Induction Program is designed to support you in your first years with us.
Ongoing Induction Support for Non-tenured Teachers
The induction program for first-year teacher hires with monthly seminars held at the Forrest Center including differentiated professional learning opportunities.
Required Sessions are on the first Wednesday of each month.

Non-tenured teachers in their first, second, and third years with SMCPS participate in weekly individualized mentoring. For more details visit the Mentor Resources page.
