What is Lego Mindstorms EV3?
The LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education EV3 is a robotics kit that allows you to buid and program five starter robot models. The system includes the EV3 Intelligent Brick, a compact and powerful programmable computer that makes it possible to control motors and collect sensor feedback using the intuitive icon-based programming, and data logging software that is delivered with the set. There are three Servo Motors, five Sensors (Gyro, Ultrasonic, Color and 2x Touch), a EV3 Rechargeable DC Battery (with charging cable), and connecting cables.
This product is retired, but will remain functional until June 2023 when the apps for it lose support.

Make sure the EV3 has power before using it.
The EV3 uses Bluetooth to connect to device that controls it.
The website Bricklink will have spare pieces if a LEGO piece is lost.
The EV3 will no longer be functional after June 2023 due to the apps for it losing support.

The EV3 Brick is also able to unleash the power of Python programming using MicroPython. Simply install the EV3 MicroPython image onto any micro SD card and boot up your EV3 Brick from it to start programming straight away
