"How often I found where I should be going only by setting out for somewhere else." - R. Buckminster Fuller
Goal: This week students will start the process of thinking about their ultimate career goals.
Objective: By the end of this week students will have started the process of identifying their interests and thinking about how their strengths and interests might be applied to a career. Students will also start investigating the different career options out there. Finally, students will have identified a job or career they are interested in (high level goal), found a summer experience that would help them to work towards that job/career (mid level goal), identified the qualifications of the experience by looking at the job posting, and then identified low level goals that would help them gain those qualifications.
IDEA(2) Focus: Why is the "STEM pipeline" analogy problematic?
Please complete the following assignment in your Rocketbook or some other notebook.
You should complete the second page of the Identifying your Interests document (found in the Exploration Phase)
You will need your work from the Exploration and Personalization Phase to participate in the Application Phase on Friday so please bring it with you!
These will be checked when you walk in the door.
