Original considerations for our new Prayer Space
Discussing our new prayer space
Designing our new prayer space
Pupil's of Year 3 created their very own fishing net using unwanted materials, to replicate the story of Jesus being the Fisher of Men. The Worship Council have placed the nets over our Outdoor Prayer Space to help us to remember Jesus' actions and words to his disciples and followers.
During our LION Curriculum evening, 'When I grow up..' , pupils, parents, staff and the community were invited to create a prayer stone. They are to be used as a tactile spiritual focus during reflection, prayer and mindful moments. As part of their role, the Worship Council, distributed the prayer stones in key areas across the school.
After our curriculum evening, the Worship Council were able to go around and help to maintain our wonderful prayer spaces. They added a selection of prayer stones to each space and the completed fishing nets were placed on the outdoor prayer space.
Here are some images of some meaningful worships in action in our prayer spaces:
On Remembrance Day, our beautiful outdoor worship area was decorated with red poppies, made from plastic bottles, and red ribbon, alonside our Remembrance Wreath.
