Pupils joined in celebrations for the festival of Eid-al-fitr. Year 1 and Year 5 exchanged gifts as is a tradition of this festival. We were fortunate enough to be able to learn from muslim members of our school community, who were celebrating Eid-al-fitr.
Holocaust Memorial Day
Phase 4, to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, looked at the theme of this year: Ordinary People. They discussed how ordinary people just like you and me were part of the mass genocide. Pupils gained a sense of justice and responsibility.
