UK Courageous Advocacy

2022-2023

Year 6 pupils embarked upon a huge fundraising mission through the 'Enterprise Week' initiative. All of the funds raised were donated to the Namrata Shah children’s home in Nairobi, Kenya. The Bishop of Thika's wife, who is patron of this charity, was welcomed to our school as part of us being a global neighbour.

To commemorate 'Remembrance Day' our Worship Council collected monies to fund the work of the Royal British Legion. It is a charity which provides advice, guidance, recovery and rehabilitation to members and families of our Armed Forces across Britain.

During Harvest Festival, pupils and staff made a huge contribution of much needed provisions for our local food bank. These donations have helped to transform the lives of people in our local area who are in crisis.

St. Margaret's Christmas Fair was a big hit, as pupils, parents and staff came together and raised monies for our local community church fund

This year pupils, parents and staff raised an amazing £700 at our MacMillan Coffee Morning.  This super donation will help to provide specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.

Good old Pudsey was back again at St. Margaret's, with pupils and staff organising events to raise more money for disadvantaged children and young people.

Our environment council made a positive impact on our school environment by planting a wide variety of young trees. Pupils have learnt that trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which help to combat climate change. A walk among trees also enhances our mood, reduces stress and improves our mental wellbeing. Green spaces provide an excellent wildlife habitat too.
