The Science and Technology Curriculum (Grade 1 to 8) has been updated by the Ministry of Education. We are expected to teach from, assess and evaluate the learning expectations in the new curriculum from the 2022/2023 school year.
The Science and Technology curriculum is in a digital format on the Ministry of Education Curriculum site.
A PDF version of the whole curriculum (and the expectations by grade) is also available on the site.
Step 1: view the 4 minute overview of the new curriculum video and scan the key changes document
Step 2: view the 4 minute Teaching and Learning with Strand A video
Step 3: think about how to structure the learning using the sample long range plans
Step 4: review the expectations for your grade
The Science and Technology curriculum states, "... all students will have knowledge of the rich diversity of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit histories, cultures, perspectives, and contributions, as well as an awareness of the importance of Indigenous ways of knowing in a contemporary context."

As you build programmes and lessons it is important to consider the points in the Best Practices: First Nation, Métis and Inuit Integration document. Many more resources can be found on Employee Connect.
