Weekly Advent Celebration
Advent ushers in the beginning of the Church’s liturgical year and invites us into a season of anticipation, hope, and faith-filled reflection. It is a sacred time for preparing our hearts to welcome Christ anew at Christmas and to ponder His promise to return. This year, Advent begins on Sunday, 30 November 2025, and as we journey through this season, we are invited to walk together under our SMCDSB theme for 2025–2026: “Be the Light”. Advent encourages us to notice where light is needed, to carry hope with intention, and to grow together in faith as a community awaiting the coming of Christ.
