Even if you aren't sure what exactly what you will do after graduation or what your career will be, it helps to see what kind of positions are available. We often tell our students to explore job ads to find positions that resonate with them and then examine what qualifications would make them appropriately competitive. You can do job ad searches casually on your own or, better yet, work with the resources available through SLU's Career Services Center on campus.
Job searches can be eye-opening, so we encourage students to begin this process early and continue exploring existing positions because the types of jobs posted in the market is constantly diversifying and the qualifications for jobs are ever-changing. A good place to start is by looking at usajobs.gov.
