For emergencies of any nature, immediately dial 911 on your phone, and calmly and clearly tell the operator what kind of emergency you have as well as your location. This number will help you contact the fire department, the police department or an ambulance. Do not hang up until help arrives.

Hospital emergency rooms- make sure you have your insurance card with you at all times as you will be required to present upon arrival at the hospital. If possible, keep a list of medications you currently take with your insurance card. Some emergency rooms require you to fill out paperwork before receiving treatment.

Minor medical emergencies can be treated at SLU Student Health (314) 977-2323 (for minor medical emergency) or (314) 977-2323 to schedule your appointment.
Ambulance services: If you or someone you know requires immediate assistance, call 911 and explain the problem. Do not hang up the phone until the ambulance arrives. Tell the operator what the problem is, the location of the patient and other information he or she requests.
