SLU ranked #2 for "most engaged in community service" in the Princeton Review Best 384 Colleges 2020 Edition. Many students are eager to understand how they can be engaged in the community in a time when the need is great, but when volunteer opportunities look different because of social distancing.

Ways to be engaged from the list of "Remote or Limited In-Person Contact Volunteer Opportunities" available on the CSCE web page include:

• Assisting people who are home bound during the pandemic through grocery delivery, calling to check on health concerns, and making virtual visits

• Acting as a facility-entry screener at the American Red Cross Blood Center

• Other opportunities to engage the community which are less directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic
